An additional two individuals are now in custody in connection with a theft at London's Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals were injured by what is thought to be pepper spray, according to police.

A 24-year-old man, was arrested in the Lambeth area on suspicion of robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was detained for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals are still being held, authorities confirmed.

The arrests follow an investigation into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the incident, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their luggage upon exiting a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was one of the those hurt in the event. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for treatment and were later discharged.

Police arrested a 31-year-old man for suspected theft and assault close to the scene. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.

Police were alerted at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding a number of people hurt by a noxious substance thought to be an irritant spray.

The assault - an event that authorities stated was isolated and not being treated as an act of terror - caused train delays and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility for a short time.
